Tyke Program Changes
Submitted By Art Fox / Mike Anderson on Saturday, September 23, 2017
In the past, ENSMHA divided our tyke players according to their skill and development needs. Some players were allowed advance early to the a higher division based on their skill level.

As of September of this year,  the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF), which governs all member associations, advised that children under seven (7) years of age will now be restricted to participate in the new Initiation Program.

This program, regardless of skill level requires all 5 and 6 year old players to play and practice in cross-ice/half-ice format. There are few exceptions to this rule and any association found to be violating this direction are met with heavy sanctions.

More information on the new rules can be found in the links below.
