week-end review Oct. 29-30
The Erie North Shore Atom Minor's had a week-end full of highs and lows. There game on Saturday started out with Tecumseh dominating the ice and taking a quick lead in the 1st period with a score of 3-0 Tecumseh. Tecumseh came into the 2nd period with the same the fight and fire as the first and scored two more goals making the score board read 5-0. Never giving up, the Storm Boys worked hard and came up with their 1st goal in the 2nd period from Mckee from Woolner.

Not stopping there the boys came up with another goal in the 2nd from Olson assisted from Riddiford. Having found their drive to come back the boys pulled it together coming out to play in the 3rd period. Despite the back checking and hard skating Tecumseh scored the 1st goal in the 3rd period making the score board read 6-2. Driving hard at the net and pulling together the Storm boys answered back with a goal of their own from Dumouchelle putting it in from Brennan's shot! But it didn't stop there Woolner getting a goal unassisted making the score now 6-4. Now with their sights set on the win the Storm kicked it up and came back with yet another goal from Robinson assisted from Gomes. Shutting down Tecumseh in the third period, Erie North Shore showed that they will never give up even when they are down. They worked hard, kept their heads up and pulled together in the end. They played a great game. The final score was 6-5 Tecumseh.

On Sunday the Erie North Shore Storm Boys came out the play against the Windsor Jr Spitfires. The game started out fast, both teams seemed evenly matched. It was back a forth game with both teams defending their net. As always Ford had some great saves and the defence moved the puck out. First period ended with a score of 0-0. Six minutes into the 2nd period the Storm boys finally got one in with a nice pass from Bradfield to Mckee. The 2nd period ended with a score of 1-0 Erie. The 3rd period would prove to be much more action packed, two and half minutes in Robinson got in the second goal from a nice rebound shot from Dumouchelle, one minute later Dumouchelle would sink in his own goal, assisted by Mckee making the score 3-0 Storm. The speed of the game never stopped. The pressure continued for the defence but Parks, Quenneville and Jenner defended our end hard clearing the puck. The Stars snuck one in half way through the 3rd period. Shorthanded, Carrier and Fields had to work extra hard on defence shutting down the Spitfires power play. With six minutes left in the game the Spitfires refused to give up and they came up with yet another goal. One and half minutes later the Spitfires scored again tying the game up .The last four and half minutes was quick, evenly matched and back and forth, both goalies stopping great shots, our forwards working hard to pull out the win but with time running out and either team willing to give up one more goal Erie North Shore ended up tying the Jr. Spitfires in a great game! Good Job Boys.....GO STORM!!!!!
