Week-end Review Nov 4-6
The Erie North Shore Atom Minors sponsored by South Shore Dental, hosted the Chatham Maroons on Friday, Nov. 4th at 7:30 p.m. The two teams went head to head in a well matched exciting 1st period. With an assist by Josh Parks, Kaden Brennan put us on the board early getting the first goal of the night just minutes into the first period. Shortly thereafter, Chatham retaliated with their own goal to tie it up. Thanks to strong goal tending by Mathew Branch the first period ended tied at 1-1. In the second period we saw much the same as the first with a close, fast paced, end-to-end battle. Chatham ended the second with another goal sending us into the third down by one goal...2-1.

In the third period the Chatham Maroons dominated with 3 more goals to keep them on top for the win, but not before Heath McKee buried the puck in the back of the net, assisted by Shannon Olson and Alex Riddiford. Although we didn't come out with a win, the Erie North Shore boys skated hard and are left hungry for their next win.

The second game of the week-end: Erie North Shore Storms hosted Southpoint on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 12:10. Both teams came out strong. Southpoint took the lead with the first goal of the night, leaving Erie starting the second period down, but even hungrier for the win. Shannon Olson, assisted by Heath McKee tied it up with Erie's first goal ending the second period in a tie. Going into the third period Erie started with a power play, but was unable to capitalize. Neither team was going to give up. After some fancy foot work around the net Cole Dumouchelle scored the winning goal. Final score: 2-1 for the Storms.

In the third game of the week-end the Erie North Shore Storms played against the Essex Ravens, in Essex. The first period was hard fought as they traded ends forechecking and backchecking. Jackson Ford came up with some great saves and the period ended 0-0. In the second period Essex scored first, but it wasn't long before Kaden Brennan, assisted by Cole Dumouchelle and Ethan Robinson put the Storm's on the score board. Only seconds later Essex scored their second goal taking back the lead. In the third period the Storm's continued to work hard, but Essex scored a third goal. In a last minute attempt to even the score the Storms pulled the goalie, but the Ravens protected their lead. Although the Erie North Shore Storms out shot the Essex Ravens they lost with a final score of 3-1. Next week Erie will face Belle River at home. GO STORM!!!
