3 in a row for the Select 7 Storm
Strong goaltending and execution of play result in a decisive win over Southpoint.

On Sunday the 18th of November the Erie Storm Select 7 travelled to Leamington and took to the ice versus Southpoint in the Unico Arena.

At the 8:19 minute mark of the first period Cale M drove the net unassisted to notch the first goal of the game giving the Storm a 1-0 lead.  5 minutes later Cale again took the puck on a short handed drive to give the Storm a 2-0 lead going into the 2nd period.

Only a minute into the 2nd period, Michael H buried the puck on a nifty pass from Cale M giving the Storm a 3-0 margin.  Shortly after at the 4:45 mark of the 2nd period, Ty M carried the puck across the blue line and beat the Southpoint netminder increasing our lead to 4-0.  Strong goaltending through the 1st and almost the entire second period kept the hopes of a shutout alive however at the 1:37 mark of the 2nd period, Southpoint was able to beat our tender giving them there only score of the game.

Feeding off a spirited pep talk at the bench, the Storm again took to the ice, opening the third period scoring at the 14:04 mark with Cale M notching his 3rd of the game, again, unassisted.  Further 3rd period goals were notched by Cole K assisted by Connor B, Cale M assisted by Nate M, Nate M unassisted and Charlie C, again, unassisted giving the Storm a final score of 9-1.

Good heads up play by the Storm along with strong positional play has led the team to it's third victory in a row.  Excellent netminding by both goalies and a 4 goal game by Cale M helped lead the team.  Excellent work by all players!
