Taking Control
On Saturday the Atom Minor Storm hosted the Southpoint Capitals. With a win and a loss against Southpoint this season, the boys vowed to take the lead. With heavy pressure right from the first whistle, Erie put two goals in the net in the first period. Not backing down, our boys held Southpoint scoreless for the rest of the game netting three more goals to take a 5-0 win.
On Sunday, Erie travelled to Tilbury to face Kent Cobras AA. The first period was evenly matched which resulted in no score. Erie's offence stepped it up a notch in the second period to beat Kent's goalie and make it a 1-0 game. Determined to keep their lead, the Atom boys fought hard battles in the third, surrendering one goal and skating off with a 1-1 tie. Great work this weekend boys!!!!
