Another winning weekend for AE Team...
This past weekend saw more exciting action for Novice AE fans.

In Saturday's home game we took on the Tecumseh Eagles. The Storm took the lead early with a beautiful goal from Reyth in the first period. The Eagles answered shortly after with one of their own trickling past Ariana. A lot of back and forth action ensued, with our kids fighting hard to give Tecumseh their first loss of the season. At the start of the third, it was 2-1 Storm. The third period was a real nail biter, tied 3-3 with less than 2 minutes to go. Nevan sailed his second of the game past the Tecumseh netminder to give the Storm a 4-3 lead.  A hard fought battle for the next minute and a half, the Eagles offense was too much for our kids and they were able to tie up the game with only 18 seconds left on the board. Final score a tie at 4-4.

Sunday afternoon we travelled to Lasalle to battle the Sabres. Another great game for AE fans, the Sabres came out strong, scoring in the first minute of play. The kids played as a team and passed the puck up the boards, allowing for lots of Storm shots on net. Ben snuck one past the Sabres goalie to tie the game at one a piece, with Ty scoring shortly after to bring the score to 2-1. The Sabres  offense answered with a quick goal leaving the end of the first in a 2-2 tie.

Great defensive effort and a solid offense throughout the game. Ashton showed the Sabres his speed and scored unassisted at the top of the second. This goal was again answered by the Sabres bringing the score to another tie. The third period was full of action, with our forwards working hard to make things happen around the Lasalle net. Winning battles in the corner and being ready for the pass, our kids displayed true teamwork, and were rewarded with Ashton's second of the game assisted by a hard working Elijah.

Final score 4-3 Storm.

Great job kids!!!
