Erie North Shore Storm Peewee Majors – 11/22/13 to 11/24/13
A tough weekend for the Erie North Shore Storm Peewee Majors as they face two AA teams!

11/22/13 – Storm vs. Kent Cobras AA

Friday November 22 the Storm played on home ice against the Kent Cobras AA team. The team got off to a good start as they got on the board first scoring the only goal in the first period thirty seconds before the buzzer! Ryan Mucha shot one in off a pass from Ethan Litster while on the powerplay. Unfortunately the next two periods did not go the Storms way as Kent scored a total of 5 unanswered goals. The Storm offense fought hard throughout the game to control the puck and outshot the AA Cobras 22-15. Nate Jacobs played in net the first 2 periods with Connor Axford coming in during the third. The Storm had several powerplay opportunities but were unable to take advantage of them, resulting in a 5-1 loss for the team.

11/24/13 – Storm vs. Tecumseh Eagles AA

Sunday November 24 the Storm travelled to Tecumseh Arena to take on the Tecumseh Eagles AA team. Connor Axford took his place in net as the Storm prepared to take on another strong AA team. The first period the Storm was outshot 6-3 but Connor and the powerful Storm defense kept them in the game, with the period ending scoreless. Thirty seconds into the second period Tecumseh got on the board taking a 1-0 lead, but not for long. Ethan Litster slid one past the goalie off a pass from Daniel Price to tie things up. In the third the Storm pulled ahead when Daniel got a goal of his own with help from Owen Stannard and Ethan Litster. Tecumseh tied it up two minutes later then broke the tie taking the lead five minutes before the buzzer. The Storm fought hard to get it back, outshooting the Eagles 9-5 in the period but were unable to get the puck past the goalie again, resulting in a 3-2 loss for the team. The Storm played great almost beating the AA Eagles. Goalie Connor Axford was strong in net facing 19 shots, while the Storm had 14. The Storm played another penalty free game which means another pizza party courtesy of Coach Ken! Great job team!!
