Storm Take Silver In Motown Cup
The Storm celebrated Valentines weekend by treating their parents to a romantic weekend for two sixty at the Detroit Marriott Hotel. The team gave Hockey Dads the best pass of the season by giving a valid excuse to skip a greeting card event for a hockey tournament.

West London Hawks Vs. E.N.S. Storm - Friday February 13/2015 - 6:00 pm
Perhaps being a little sluggish from the same day commute, the Storm started the game slow and and played below average the opening period. Despite having leads of 1-0 and 2-1 the Storm failed to put the game away and allowed London to tie it up in the third. Mikayla then let the team off the hook by scoring her second goal of the night which turned out to be the game winner. Final Score Storm 3 - London 2.

Storm Vs. Oakville Sabres - Saturday February 14/2015 - 7:40 am
In what was the most entertaining match of the weekend the two teams equalled each other in all aspects of the game. Each team showed its strength in forechecking, scoring chances, defensive play and goaltending. Mikayla showed the importance of putting the puck toward the net, as a centering pass bounced off a defencemans leg for her third goal of the tournament and a 1-0 Storm lead. Oakville tied it up in the third, and the two teams continued the draw till the final buzzer. Final score Storm 1 - Oakville 1.

Storm Vs. Sault Ste. Marie - Saturday February 14/2015 - 3:30 pm
In what was their most lopsided win of the year, the Storm opened the floodgates in the second period with a relentless attack. Led by the Collier boys, Reilly with two goals and Keegan with one, the team played the type of game the coaches knew they were capable of. Tommy wasn't called upon often, but turned away all threats when needed, to preserve the shutout. Final Score Storm 7 - Sault Ste. Marie - 0

Championship Game - Sunday February 15/2015 - 9:20 am
The finals set up a rematch between the Storm and Oakville who both had equal records of 2-0-1 after round robin play.
A new coldest temperature on record for the date was set in Detroit and unfortunately it showed in the Storms performance. The team could muster little the entire game and fell behind 1-0 after one and 4-0 after two periods. Aaron scored a goal late in the third, but it was too little, too late and the Storm would have to settle for the Silver medal. Final Score Oakville 5 - Storm - 1.

Despite the disappointment in the final game, the team continues to show its improved play as witnessed by their 7-6-2 record the last 15 games.

Go Storm Go!!
