Sabres Stop Storm
The Storm rolled into Lasalle Sunday hoping to improve their seeding in the Bluewater playoff format.

The Storm let an excellent opportunity to strengthen their playoff seeding position slide, when they allowed Lasalle to score 4 unanswered goals in the third period.
Despite a strong start and hemming Lasalle in their own zone for most of the first period, the Storm had nothing to show for it and the period ended in a scoreless draw.
The Storm opened the scoring in the second when Brady fired a shot from the far side that found its way through a maze of players into the back of the net. The game then became a more even battle as Lasalle fought off its sluggish start and improved its play. The teams traded possessional play, then late in the period Ellie picked up a loose puck in the defensive zone and made one of her patented end to end rushes, finishing it off by firing one off the goalie for a 2-0 lead.
Unfortunately, the Storm thought they could go into cruise control in the 3rd period and it cost them big time.
Failure to skate hard for the puck led to the Storm chasing Lasalle for the rest of the game. The result was a 3-2 deficit with 5 minutes to go. With the goalie pulled and extra attacker on, Matt was robbed of a goal when the Lasalle goalie made a big time glove save on a shot that was going top shelf.
Lasalle added an empty netter to make the final score Lasalle 4 - Storm 2.

Next up Chatham-Kent in Kingsville, Sunday afternoon.
