Goodbye, Farewell, Au revoir
The Atom AE Storms 2014-2015 season came to an end the first week of April with a semi-final loss in the Bluewater league playoffs.
Not even Wyatts first goal of the season could help the Storm overcome a strong performance by the Chatham Kent Cobras, who eventually went on to win the Bluewater league championship.
While the season ending loss was disappointing, the progress made by the team over the course of the year was anything but. Each player put their heart and soul into every game and practice and the result was significant improvement in team chemistry and play. I think we can all agree the team turned the corner in mid-December and became a force to be reckoned with the last 2 months of the year. With 2 runnerup finishes in tournament play and taking the # 1 seed Amherstburg to the brink in playdowns, the Storm ended the year playing gutsy and exciting hockey.
The coaching staff is proud of strides the team made and the level of hockey they measured up to.
Now whether you go kick a soccer ball around, or knock one out of the park, enjoy your summer!!
