Storm Blow Past Southpoint
In the only game of the weekend before the Thanksgiving break, the Storm rallied from behind to knock off the Southpoint Capitals 3-2.

The Storm spotted the Capitals a tally, allowing a goal on the first shift of the game. The home team from Southpoint would outplay the visiting Storm squad in the first period and if not for stellar goaltending from Gannon Hunter, the score could easily have been worse than 1-0. The Storm battled harder in the second period, but were still down one, only trading goals with the Capitals. Nevan Branco fired a laser, high blocker side from the top of the right circle to get the Storm on the board. Entering the third period, down a goal, the Storm were in a very familiar situation and as usual, the third period was their best. Reyth Smith took the puck from a scramble in his own end and sent Branco away with a nice stretch pass and he made no mistake, burying another shot, blocker side high to tie the game at two. After several shifts of sustained pressure in the offensive zone Elijah Pezzotti, picked the puck out of the Southpoint goalies' pads and fired the go ahead goal with six minutes remaining. The Capitals pulled their goalie for the extra attacker to try and tie up the game. However, Brock Bezaire twice made great defensive plays, backchecking and taking away the puck from the shooter to perserve the win and earning him Player of the Game honours for his hard work all game long.
