Rangers Tie Up Storm
The Storm hosted the Riverside Rangers on Hallowe'en afternoon in a matchup of the two teams tied for first place.
The Storm played well for 30 minutes, out skating their opposition and generating many scoring chances. Just past the mid-point of the first period, Elijah Pezzotti won a draw in the offensive zone back to Brock Bezaire who fired the puck on net. Pezzotti pounced on the rebound, chipping the puck over the Rangers netminder to take an early lead. Ben Buchner pumped one for the Storm to take a 2-0 lead early in the third period. Although the Storm had many scoring chances, they were not able to bulge the twine again and Riverside put two home in the last 5 minutes to end the game in a 2-2 tie. Brock Bezaire earned the Player of the Game honours for his great play on defence, helping out due to a teammates illness.
