Storm Return to Winning Ways
After the first loss of the season and then a tie in their two previous outings, the Storm were looking to get back in the win column in Tecumseh on Sunday evening.

After a slow start in the first half of the opening period, the Storm caught fire. Following the game plan, the Erie North Shore squad were able to breakout of their own end and get pucks deep in the Eagles zone. Finally, half way through the second period, the Storm struck first with Sage Batke crashing the net to put home an Ashton Sim rebound, setup by Reyth Smith, taking a one goal lead. Early in the third, the same three would combine again, this time with Smith keeping the puck in the offensive zone and Batke hitting Sim with a pass out front, who buried it to increase the visiting teams' lead. A few minutes later Sim would dance around a defender and slide one five hole, assisted by Ben Buchner and Ava Merritt. Not done yet, Buchner went back short side on his own rebound, setup by strong corner work from Neil Adams and Marshall Champeau. The Storm were now cruising with a 4-0 lead and only item left to be determined was a possible shutout for goalie Easton Jacobs. However, the Eagles would snipe one home with only 5.5 seconds left in the game, the end the score at 4-1 for the Storm. Ashton Sim was awarded Player of the Game for his hard work and great hands.
