With back to back wins to start and finish the March
break, the Atom A.E. Storm sit atop of the playoff pool in a power position. A
victory in their final round robin game will ensure a first place result and a
game against the fourth seeded Tecumseh Eagles in the semi-finals.

First period goals by Mikayla, Reilly and Brady set the tone early and the Team continued its dominant play for the rest of the game. Connor, Ian and Mikayla’s second of the night rounded out the scoring in the third period as the Storm’s relentless attack proved too much for the Eagles.

Storm vs. Chatham-Kent - March 20/2016 – Tilbury Arena
The top 2 seeds of the round robin faced off in Tilbury, for the first of their back to back games this week. Although short staffed due to some late March breakers, the Storm adjusted to their new line mates and went up 1-0 on a goal by Reilly late in the first period. Not to be outdone, brother Keegan put the Storm up 2-0 early in the second period with a nice tip in from a point shot. Fatigue started to kick in at the end of the second period and Chatham got on the board after a shift of continued pressure where the Storm could not clear the zone.
The third period featured the offensive prowess of our defence, beginning with Wyatt who rushed down the right side and beat the goalie with a wrist shot from just inside the faceoff circle.
Tecumseh got into penalty trouble and with 2 men in the box, Wyatt made them pay with a another wrist shot from the high slot for his second of the night. Tecumseh made it 4-2 on a breakaway goal, but Ellie got it back 16 seconds later going 5 hole on the Tecumseh goalie.
Wyatt just missed the Hat Trick when his shorthanded icing attempt just missed the empty net.
Final Score: Storm 5 – Chatham- Kent 3
Final Round robin game is a rematch against Chatham –Kent, Thursday in Harrow.
