U11 A Brings Home The Gold!
After losing a heartbreaker in the finals last year, Erie North Shore U11A team came back to Clarington this past weekend with one goal in mind - to take home the gold medal for the Josh Bailey Classic.
In the 4 game round robin, they won 3 games with solid leads, and the only loss taken was by one goal to Whitby. Both goalies (McMahon/Lowrie) recorded a shut out for the team, and the round robin ended with only 4 goals against.
With a dominant win in the semis, the team secured a spot in the finals for the 2nd year in a row. Facing the quick paced Whitby team once again, the boys were determined to bring home the gold. Goals in the Championship game came from Kassian (2), McLean, Driscoll(2), and Baker, and the team as a whole shared in multiple assists, moving the puck and capitalizing on the opportunities.
