Keller and Santarossa give the Storm a win before the Christmas Break
A bounce back win after a tough tournament sends the boys and their families off happy for the Christmas break

I’ve written this before, but the Tecumseh Eagles are one of those teams that match up well and give the Storm a tough game every time. They’ve got a mix of good goaltending and a few game breaker players that can make you pay if you make a mistake. Friday Hockey Night in Harrow had the boys fired up due to Santa coming, no school for two weeks and hockey. A potent trifecta. The boys started strong in the first period controlling the puck in the Tecumseh end with Emmitt Santarossa scoring a nice goal to put them ahead 1-0. However, the Eagles did Eagles things and frustrated the Storm for a good stretch of the game after that. This led to a goal on a breakaway where they put one past goalie Jaxon Keller. Keller was resolute after that, making save after spectacular save bailing the boys out time and time again. Then Santa, as in Emmitt Santarossa, provided the boys their gift for Christmas. After dragging two Tecumseh players on his back out of the corner he tucked his second of the game with a great individual effort. This got the boys rolling and they controlled most of the play from that point onward. Alessio Incitti scored the third goal after a great forechecking effort by Zack Hammond to steal the puck from an Eagles player and passing it to the goal scorer. Final score of the game was 3-1. Keller won player of the game for his stellar effort in net, which is really saying something considering the strong play of Santarossa at centre.

And with that the boys head to the Christmas break with a 11-1-2 record and in first place in Bluewater U11C.
