Harrow Novice Blue Win 2019 Oakridge Classic Tournament
This past weekend the Harrow Novice Blue traveled to London, Ontario for the Oakridge Classic House League Tournament and returned home with their second tournament trophy of the season.
The Novice division consisted of a talented group of 10 teams from London, Simcoe, Caledonia, Oakville, and Harrow. The team started fast out of the gate with two victories on Friday, 4-1 over West London C2 and 7-1 over West London D2. On Saturday Harrow faced a tough defensive battle against North London A2 and prevailed with a tight 2-0 win to finish the round robin undefeated. Early Sunday morning Harrow faced off against the top team in the Greater London Hockey Association in the semi-final game. It was a back and forth battle against West London B2 with a 3-3 tie midway through the game, but Harrow found another gear and finished with a 7-3 win. The championship game Sunday afternoon was a rematch against a tenacious North London A2 team. It was a tense game that remained close to the very end but Harrow succeeded with a 4-2 win to take home another trophy. Thank you to our players and all of the competition for displaying excellent sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the tournament.
Congratulations to Harrow Novice Blue!
