Amalgamation Update
As part of our promise for transparency and keeping our members informed, we are happy to report that both the Erie North Shore and Amherstburg Boards of Directors have voted to proceed with amalgamation talks between the 2 Associations.  We see this as a positive first step, in a lengthy process, to enhance player development through multiple new opportunities which we believe this amalgamation will provide.

This is not a vote that we take lightly -  we strongly believe that this partnership of equals will achieve the best of both worlds in terms of preserving and celebrating small town hockey at the Local League level, while allowing us to build a stronger, more dynamic and competitive Rep Hockey Program that will benefit all players within our associations. Members should consider this as a bridge to an educational stage where we can begin to inform you of the benefits of this partnership, and the opportunity to gain knowledge of the particulars of the agreement, as we know them at this time.

To that end, both centres will be hosting 2 open house sessions in April where members of both Boards will be present to meet with you, answer your questions, and provide insight as to the process, before the official vote for amalgamation takes place on both sides. This vote is slated to occur at the AGM for Erie in May, and at a Special Membership meeting in May for Amherstburg. We strongly encourage our membership to attend these sessions in an effort to gain first hand information, and not an endless cycle of hearsay or misinformation that can tend to occur. Further to that, we will be posting a "Frequently Asked Questions" portal on our websites where we will share the questions we receive and their answers in yet another effort to be transparent and keep our memberships informed.

Please watch our website and social media outlets for the sessions in April, the Q and A portal, and any other relevant updates.
