Week-end Review Oct 15 & 16th
The Erie Storm hosted the Riverside Rangers on Saturday afternoon, October 15th. The storm came out quick in the first period. Kaden Brennan scoring with assists going to McKinnon Woolner and Luca Quenneville. Thirty seconds later they were back at it with the goal going to Brennan and assists going to Alex Riddiford and Quenneville.


The second period started much like the first with Riddiford scoring unassisted. Riverside battled back to tie the game but once again the new line of Woolner, Riddiford, and Brennan were back at it. Brennan scored his third goal to complete the Hat Trick with assists going to Woolner and Riddiford. Three minutes later after Jackson Ford’s great save, the defence cleared it up to the forwards and Brennan scored his fouth goal assisted by Riddiford and Woolner. Final Score 5-3, Erie.

On Sunday, October 16th the Erie Storm blew into the Heinz Arena to face off against Southpoint. Erie found themselves down 1-0 early into first period. Heath McKee tied up the first period with only seconds left assisted by Ethan Robinson. Southpoint made it 2-1 early in the second period. Cole Dumouchelle tied it up two minutes later with the assist going to Matthew Bradfield. As the momentum swung into Erie’s favour, Heath McKee and Shannon Olson worked their magic to make it 3-2 late into the second period. Southpoint kept battling and tied it up early into the third period. At the 11 minute mark of the third period Dumouchelle scored what proved to be the winner with the assist going to Bradfield. The Final was 4-3, Erie. Off to Silver Stick this upcoming weekend, GO STORM!
