week-end review Nov 19-20
The Erie North Shore Minor Atom Hockey Team sponsored by South Shore Dental hosted the Gross Pointe, MI Bull Dogs on Saturday, November 19th at 12:10 pm for an exhibition game. With Ford in net, the game started off smoothly. Gomes took the puck and scored unassisted in the first two minutes of play. Ford did a celebration dance and the crowd cheered! The Storm skated hard however; the Bull Dogs scored twice in the last two minutes of play in the first period leaving the Storm down by one. The Storm had lots of shots on their net dominating the first part of the second period. The Bull Dogs scored leaving the Storm now down by 2. With penalties and being short handed, Ford made some fabulous saves.

Great defensive play by Carrier, Jenner and Parks. Dumochelle 'Dumo' scored the beginning of the third period with the help from Gomes. With shots on net from Brennan, Robinson and Fields, the Storm started to battle back. McKee, Olson and Riddiford were itching for a goal. Dumo scored again in the third assisted by Robinson and Woolner. The score now 4-3. The Bull Dogs unfortunately took charge in the third and scored two more goals leaving the score 6-3. Thank you to Jenner and Quenneville for playing forward positions today as Bradfield was on holidays soaking up the sun! Although the Storm didn't win today, the Erie North Shore team skated hard and outshot the Bull Dogs 31-26.

The Erie North Shore team headed to the WFCU Centre on Sunday, November 20th at 5:25 pm to play against the Riverside Rangers. In the first period, Gomes scored the first goal assisted by Dumo & Fields. Ford made some fantastic saves and the boys were itching for a win. In the second period, Gomes scored again assisted by Olson. With one minute left in the second period, Olson scores assisted by Brennan. Storm is now beating the Rangers 3-0. In the third period the Storm took control of the ice with Quenneville taking a hard shot from the blue line. The puck deflected off of Riddiford's stick and the score is now 4-0. With under five minutes of play left, the Rangers score. The Storm once again, takes control and Dumo dumps the puck into the net with the help from Riddiford. Dumo again steels the puck with one minute left and scores with the assist going to Parks. Final score 6-1. Ford, Woolner and Carrier do a victory dance to celebrate! GO STORM GO!
