SELECT 7 STORM SHOWING BETTER ODDS
Article for Saturday, November 26.
On Saturday our Select Seven team played on big ice at the Chatham
Thames Campus. The boys went out ready to win unfortunately Chatham was
first to score. Setting the record on breakaways, Calum Brennan
scored for the Storm as the first period wound down. With the Chatham
team out-shooting the Storm, goaltender Connor Scott did a great job
keeping the score at 3-1 going into the second.
For the second half of the game the defence was working hard in the Storm end with defenseman Blaze Howson showing some lightning speed to keep the puck away from goaltender Marcus Stanley. A thunder of cheer came from the fans when Cody Campbell came from the deep end of the long ice with a breakaway to score his first goal of the season. The Storm came into the third period strong and even though we were held scoreless our boys worked hard offensively and defensively to end the game.
