Regular Season Wrap Up
With two games this past weekend to wrap up the regular season, the Minor Atom Storm played Amherstburg Stars on Friday night. With the teams being evenly matched, two periods flew by with only a goal a piece. Erie pressed hard in the third and scored the go ahead goal 27 seconds into the period. Fighting hard to hold their lead, Amherstburg tied the game on a power play and eventually took the win 3-2.
On Saturday, Windsor Jr. Spitfires hosted the Erie Storm. Windsor was on the board 1-0 at the end of the first. As the penalty kill lines tried to keep Windsor out of our zone, Windsor pulled ahead 3-0 with two periods down. Erie got some momentum in the third as they put a rocket past the Windsor goalie, 3-1. Windsor netted two more by the end of the game to take a 5-1 win. Join us on Saturday Jan. 18 at 3:00pm in Harrow as the Minor Atom Storm host Windsor Jr. Spitfires in an exhibition game.
