Motown Cup Finalists, News, Atom, 2014-2015 (Erie North Shore Minor Hockey)

The team had a great weekend of hockey in Michigan at the Motown Cup.

Our first game was Friday night and our team was ready and came out hard.  We scored 1 goal in the first, no goals scored in the 2nd as the other team kept the pressure on.  In the 3rd, we cranked it up and scored 3 more goals giving us the win 4-0.

Game 2 was on Saturday morning and it was a very different game all together.  Our team didn't have the same intensity as Friday night.  The Midland North Stars scored 6 goals however with 3 seconds left we were able to score to at least prevent the shut out.

Game 3 Saturday evening was a total "nail biter" with back and forth action the entire game.  Our team was making great passes which in turn gave us a lot of opportunities.  The game ended in a 2-2 tie which was enough for Storm to advance to the final.

The final game was on Sunday morning against the Midland North Stars,which was the team that beat us 6-1 earlier in the tourney.  Much to Midland's dismay Erie Storm was a completely different team.  Our entire team played awesome and held the Stars off for a period and a half but they did end up scoring 4 goals on us eventually.  We were all so proud of each and every one of our players as they didn't give up the entire game.  Great effort.  Final score 4-0.
