Busy Weekend
With a busy weekend for the Storm team, the boys opened up a three game stretch against Southpoint Capitals on Friday night. Our boys got off to an early 1-0 lead by the end of the first. Pressuring the Capitals defence, the Storm scored 4 goals in the second and 3 more in the third to walk away with an 8-0 win.
On Saturday, Erie faced the Belle River Canadiens at home. The first period ended with a 1-0 Belle River lead. The second period was hard fought but Belle River was up 2-0 at the end of two. The Storm kept working and throwing lots of shots at the net but could beat the goalie. The game ended 2-0 Belle River. With a win and a loss behind them, on Sunday Erie met the Riverside Rangers at the WFCU Center. The boys skated hard for three solid periods. Behind 2-1 after the first, the Storm held Riverside scoreless through the second period. The third period ended in a 5-2 loss. Great effort by all skaters!!! Join the boys at their next game on Saturday October 12 when Erie take on the Amherstburg Stars at 3:20pm in Kingsville. Go Storm!!!!
