Storm Rages this past weekend
Novice AE fans saw incredible action from their team this past weekend.

Three games in three days; with our kids taking on Lasalle, Essex, and Belle River, and our kids didn't disappoint.

Friday night we travelled to the Vollmer, playing a tough Lasalle team.  Ben scored himself another hat trick, finding the back of the net three times before the end of the first period. Connor proved again what a great offensive player he is, adding 2 more goals to the scoreboard for the Storm. Great defensive work by Sage and Quinn aided goalie Arianna with only 1 Lasalle shot crossing the line. Final score was 5-1 Storm.

Saturday night we played Essex at home. The boys showed amazing teamwork and were rewarded with fantastic results. Forwards skated hard and continuously passed the puck out front of the Essex net. A "Hattie" for Connor, 2 each for Ben, Ty, and Carson, and one for Troy saw us sweep the Ravens 10-1. Great back checking and a solid defensive effort from Marshall and Cooper.

Sunday afternoon was the icing on our cake. Twice defeated by this Belle River team, our kids knew they had a big game ahead of them. Down 1-0 in the second period, the Storm banded together with an awesome show of teamwork. Consistent forechecking and constantly passing, keeping their positions and working together our kids claimed victory over the undefeated team.  Nevan, Ashton, Reyth and Elijah were power forwards, helping out the "d" with their great back checking. Some amazing saves by Arianna kept us in the game. All of the kids had an amazing game and did their best work so far this season. When the final buzzer rang, we had our third "W" of the weekend, crushing the Habs with a 2-1 victory.

Awesome teamwork, kids!!

Shout out to Brock...hope you're feeling better and ready to strap on those skates soon, buddy!
