Atom Minor Storm Remain Undefeated
Sunday, the Atom Minor Storm took the ice vs the Essex
Ravens.
With the Ravens taking a 1-0 lead after the first, the Storm had to battle hard to tie up game. At the 4 minute marker into the second Elijah Pezzotti marched down the ice and sniped one in tying the game at 1-1 with an assist going to T0mmy Coughlin. But the Ravens responded and regained the lead 3 minutes later. With the Storm putting lots of pressure on the Essex goalie, Ashton Sim tied the game at 2-2 with assists going to Ben Buchner and Coughlin. As the period went on, the battles were being won by our Storm team, but unfortunately, with 2:33 left in the game the Ravens took back the lead. But off the ensuing face off Pezzotti marched up the ice to tie it once again 13 seconds later with assists going to Coughlin and Reyth Smith. Although the Storm continued with pressure, they could not get another goal resulting in a 3-3 tie. Player of the Game honours went to Elijah Pezzotti with two timely goals to go with his hustle and leadership. Special shout out to our new goaltender Easton Jacobs on his stellar debut performance. Next game is the Saturday, September 19th at 12:10 pm in Kingsville vs the Kent Cobras.
