Erie North Shore Storm Peewee Major Team – 08/25/2013
Sunday August 25 the Peewee Majors travelled to Amherstburg to play an exhibition game against the Stars.

This was the first time the entire team has been on the ice together and they were very eager to get the game started! Goalie Nathan Jacobs started out in net for the first half of the game. Amherstburg struck first halfway through the period, with Robbie Brush answering that goal one minute later assisted by Kristian Pelling. This was quickly followed with a goal by Ethan Litster assisted by Austin Marr. Daniel Price popped in the next one assisted by Ethan Litster and Robbie Brush, followed by one more Amherstburg goal. The Storm closed out the first period with one more goal by Ethan Litster assisted by Rebecca Misiasz and Adrian Ridsdale.

The second period saw lots more Storm action as they shut down the Stars. Daniel Price started off with his second of the game assisted by Ethan and Robbie. Kristian Pelling scored next assisted by Adrian Ridsdale & Rebecca Misiasz. This was followed by Robbie Brush getting his second of the game assisted by Ryan Mucha and KayCyn Hernandez. Goalie Nathan Jacobs helped fight off an Amherstburg powerplay when KayCyn Hernandez drew a roughing penalty. Ethan Litster then earned the hat trick with help from Adrian Ridsdale and Franco Shaften. The final Storm goal of the period went to Owen Stannard assisted by Austin Marr. Goalie Scotti Beneteau took over netminding duties at the halfway mark and helped keep Amherstburg off the board the remainder of the period.

During the third Amherstburg attempted a comeback with two unanswered goals but it wasn’t enough to overcome the mighty Storm team! The game was curfewed before the Storm was able to add to their tally, but still resulted in a very impressive win of 9-4 for the PeeWee Majors!

Great job Storm!
