Storm Ground Eagles
The Atom AE Storm began their Bluewater league playoffs with a convincing win against the Tecumseh-Shoreline Eagles.

After shaking off a poor performance in an exhibition game Friday night against Belle River, the Storm returned to the ice Saturday night to take on the Tecumseh Eagles in their Bluewater league playoff opener.

Although it's hard to pinpoint the reason why, there was something completely different about the way the team looked Saturday night. ;>)

Right from the opening faceoff the Storm outskated, outworked and outplayed their opponent. Their consistent victories for puck battles were rewarded late in the first period when Aaron fired home a shot from the slot for the opening goal of the game. In the second period, Brady stole the puck from behind the oppositions net and from back of the goal line banked one off the goalie for a 2-0 lead. Steady defence led by Logan, Wyatt and Cooper kept the Tecumseh offence at bay. End to end rushes by Ellie and Matt kept Tecumsehs defence on edge. In the third period Troy finished off the scoring by going to the net and knocking home a loose puck.
Final Score Storm 3 - Tecumseh 0.
Congratulations to the team on one of the more dominant showings of the year.
Go Storm Go!!
