Belle River Blankets Storm
Submitted By Bubba Shaw on Thursday, March 26, 2015
The Storm finished off the Bluewater playoff round robin in Belle River on Sunday. A victory would have set up a favourable semi final showdown against the Lasalle Sabres.

As it turns out we'll now have to wait for the result of the Belle River - Chatham/Kent game this weekend to see who our opponent will be.
Aproximately half the team returned from sunny locales and laced them up for the first time in over a week. If it was a tanning competition we would have won hands down. Unfortunately hanging ten on the ice doesn't score you any points.
Despite a relatively slow start to the game, Aaron opened the scoring for the Storm half way through the first period. Belle River got the equalizer a few minutes later and the period ended in a 1-1 tie. From there Belle River slowly started picking up their play and the Storm could't keep pace. The Canadiens scored 2 unanswered goals in the second period and two more in the third period to make the final Belle River 5 - Storm 1.
3 practices left to get back into game shape for the semi-finals. Everything from here on in is an elimination game.
Let's go Storm !!
