Exhibition Outdoor Game Shows the Boys can Hang with the ‘A’ Crowd
Wednesday January 24th had the boys travelling to Lanspeary Park in Windsor for an outdoor game versus LaSalle ‘A’.

It was a cold, foggy, rainy night but none of that could dampen the enthusiasm for this unique opportunity to play a game against a team playing in a higher level division. Right from the start it was a very even match with both teams creating chances in each other's end. Each team also traded goals with Grayson Fraumeni scoring off the rush with a nice low wrist shot just inside the post to make it 1-1. Shortly after LaSalle scored, Thomas Larsen scored a beauty after dekeing the goalie to tie it up. Alessio Incitti continued his hot streak and scored to give the Storm three goals on the night. They continued to press for a fourth goal when Owen Irvine raced down the ice and while twisting to elude the defenseman, shot the puck to beat the goalie. Owen likely didn’t see the puck go in the net as he crashed into the side boards, but it was a great individual effort. LaSalle were able to get a few more goals to make it 7-4, but the game was very even and the boys certainly showed they can play against higher level competition. This includes the shootout that each team took part in at the end of the game where the Storm outscored LaSalle 5-4. For his strong play all over the ice, Declan Bosveld got the player of the game.
